NDIS – Yes, we see participants who are plan-managed or self-managed.
Home Care Package – Yes, we see clients who have a Home Care Package.
Private Patients – Yes, we are able to see patients privately.
For those with private health insurance – if your health insurance plan offers a rebate for Occupational Therapy, you can claim our services directly from your provider. Unfortunately, we don’t offer HICAPS.
Fees
Occupational Therapy: $193.99 p/h
(Fees as at March 2024)
This includes all OT services including face to face sessions, telehealth, report writing, liaison with other stakeholders and OT travel (travel cost dependant on location).
Guided Growth charges the standard NDIS rate for Occupational Therapy services. Please note this is subject to change. For current information please refer to the NDIS website:

Cancellation fees
There is no cancellation fee if more than 24 hours’ notice is provided.
If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, 100% of the session fee will be charged.
No, you do not need to have a referral letter to access our occupational therapy services. You can refer yourself or a family member.

We’ll start with an initial conversation to better understand your needs, explore if our services are the right fit for you, and determine what our capacity is to to take on new clients.
Before or on your first appointment, you will need:
- Service agreement- complete, sign and return
- Provide copy of Medical Summary/letter from a doctor (GP, specialist or hospital) that includes confirmation of diagnosis and medical history.
The initial OT assessment is usually 1.5 hrs to enable us to gather necessary information. You can have a support person present with you. If you are under 18yo, a parent/nominee needs to be present also.
Subsequent sessions run for the standard duration of 1 hour.
Yes. When working with children, our approach is to work with both the child and the parents /guardian. There is a strong focus on parent / carer training so that changes can be incorporated into your and your child’s daily routine as smoothly as possible.
Depending on the situation, there may be cases where clients of high school age, may not require a parent in attendance.
Guided Growth is based in the City of Whitehorse and we travel to clients locally, and to neighbouring LGAs including Manningham, Maroondah, Knox, and parts of Monash and the Yarra Ranges Shire. Please refer to the map.
